Pink or purple textures in any gaming software (not just ours) is an indication that your machine's GPU does not meet the minimum requirements, and hence is unable to render textures correctly. Check your GPU driver for an update.
Most of those who report this issue are using Windows 7 - which is no longer supported by Microsoft and hence no longer receives updates to make it compatible with newer gaming technology. There is nothing that The Sandbox can do about user-sided hardware.
